Starwood Fall 2012 Promotion

If you haven’t already, register for Starwood’s Fall Promotion (through December 20th). The last day to regsiter is November 30th and all stays prior to register will count! Here are the promotion terms:

  • Double Starpoints on stays that are 1 or 2 nights
  • Triple Starpoints on stays that are 3+ nights
  • 250 bonus Starpoints on stays booked online through spg.com
  • 250 bonus Starpoints for checking in on foursquare
  • 500 bonus Starpoints on stays booked through the SPG iPhone app

Be sure to look over the list of non-participating properties before you book. Note that double or triples points apply to base points earned only.

Starwood Social Check-ins

Link your Starwood Preferred Guest account with your foursquare or Facebook and earn bonus Starpoints! Social Check-ins can get you various bonus Starpoints depending on Starwood’s varying promotions. Allow 2-3 weeks for bonus points to be posted to your eStatement.

Amex Starwood Preferred Guest 30,000 Bonus

Sign up for Starwood’s Preferred Guest American Express credit card to get 30,000 points!There is a personal and business version of this card and you can apply for both for a total of 60,000 bonus points. This deal is up 5,000 points from the typical 25,000 bonus points. You get the first 10,000 points after your 1st purchase and the next 20,000 when you spend $5000 in the first 6 months. The annual $65 fee is waived for the first year only.

Other benefits include:

  • 1 SPG point for ever dollar spend on everyday purchases
  • 1 additional SPG point for every dollar spent at participating Starwood properties for a total of 4 per stay with your Starwood Amex card
  • 3rd night free after 2 consecutive nights at participating Sheraton hotels and resorts
  • 5 nights and 2 stay credits towards SPG elite status each year (double if you have both the personal and business card)
  • Gold status when you spend at least $30,000 per year

Starwood Preferred Guest “Nice Choice”

Register for Starwood Preferred Guest’s “Nice Choice” and you can choose when, what, and how you earn rewards.

You will need your SPG # to register. If you do not have one, you can easily join. Upon registration, you will be asked:

  • Which 3 month period you want to earn rewards for. Currently, the only one available is July 1st- September 30th.
  • Which rewards you would like to earn: Starpoints, Free Nights & Redemption Awards, Merchandise Discounts, or Elite Night Credit
  • How you want to earn your rewards. Options vary depending on the rewards you would like to earn. Be sure to browse through all of your options before committing to one. There is also a list of the most popular choices provided.

It is worth noting that the promotion includes ALL of Starwood’s franchises. Offer expires June 30th, so hurry!
